Cutty sharp hair & beauty have been nominated by Princes Trust to gain from the 'go for growth' competition out of several hundreds of small business in London that came forward.

'We are really pleased to be nominated, as we have just completed our first year of business, we are even more passionate about growing the Brand. I have many idea's on how to grow our business and will be pitching to the Panel next week in hope of securing their expertise and support in growth through 2012-2013'

The Panel were impressed withour name 'Cutty Sharp' and said it was a real play on words as was it humerous. Our turnover figures are healthy and the business is still thriving. Cutty Sharp Hair & Beauty officially opened by Mayor of Greenwich at its 1^st Year Anniversary party on 1^st March 2012.

Cutty Sharp Hair & Beauty started off as the brainchild of a young entrepreneur, Natasha Walker, who overcame a challenging background to realise her dream of creating a top to toe salon bringing her special brand of style and catwalk daring to her home borough.

One year later, the business is going from strength to strength and received accolades from the Mayor of the new Royal Borough of Greenwich Jim Gillman at a ribbon cutting ceremony last week. Mayor Gillman spoke of his pride at witnessing first hand the success of young entrepreneurs in his borough.

“I had a dream to create a complete head to toe service to encapsulate the whole person,” says the stylish, sophisticated, yet down to earth Natasha, fresh from her own catwalk successes at London Fashion Week in 2010. Cutty Sharp offers Facials, Massage, Waxing, Manicures, Pedicures and Cutting and Colouring techniques for Afro & European hair types as well as Brazilian blow-dry and Shellac Nails.

”I want to give every woman the opportunity to shine by using the skills I’ve learned in the fashion business to enhance her natural assets. Combining stylish hairdressing with equally strong Beauty Therapists, we have gained a fantastic audience here as part of the new Royal Borough of Greenwich. Situated 500 yards from Cutty Sark ship, I took that as the inspiration for my name. We want to create a sharp, fashion forward look suited to the lifestyle and natural features of the clients and help them maintain their look despite busy lifestyles,” continues Natasha.

The fun filled evening featured a stunning fashion-showcase by Adewole Akinyele representing Kirette Couture with pieces from the new Print Matter collections

Cutty Sharp hair & beauty pulled together a great team of creatives for this exclusive photoshoot. Shi Dolor came with her stuuning collection of evening wear www.shidolor.com. Linton Clarke world renound Model also modelled our looks with ease and brought his personal style to the shoot. Resident Photographer Andrew Russell did a fantastic job in bringing my vision to life, check out his work at www.asrussell.co.uk and Tina Hoffman for Double Take Studio's and also a resident here at the Quays gave our models a makeover they had never experienced before. Linton had the shock of his life in being trasformed from a smooth short back and sides to a full out there Afro!
